Desert Springs once again takes the initiative with the introduction of a unique series of new events aimed at golfers in the Almeria region. Starting in March the Club will host monthly events open to golfers in the province as well of course, our own members, residents and their guests.
Ladies 4-Ball Competition Days will be held on the last Friday of every month, starting on 27th March. The competition will comprise teams of 4 players with a different format each month to keep things interesting. The day will start with practice at the Golf Academy, 18 holes of competition golf followed by a two-course lunch with wine and coffee at El Torrente with prize presentation! These days offer all women golfers a chance to meet new friends and enjoy the delights of Desert Springs, all for 150 euros per team of 4 players.
Ladies Clinic Days will be hosted by Desert Springs Academy Director Christine Langford, providing a fun and entertaining insight in to ‘Golf 4 Women’ followed by expert tuition and use of the Academy, a light lunch in the clubhouse then 18 holes on the Indiana Golf Course. Now that’s a chance to put everything you have learned to good use! The first event will be held on Monday 30th March and the cost of entry is only 50 euros per person.
Mixed Pairs on Sundays ensures that the men don’t get left out! Held on the last Sunday of every month, starting on Sunday 5th April, the day will start with practice at the Golf Academy, then an 18 Hole mixed pairs stableford tournament, followed by a two- course lunch with wine and coffee at El Torrente. At 90 euros per couple it’s a fun way to spend a Sunday!
