Dear Members,
It is with regret that we are forced to cancel the upcoming Ryder Cup Match between La Herrería Golf Club and Desert Springs scheduled to be played at Desert Springs during the 25th, 26th and 27th September 2009.
As previously advised, the closing date for entries was set at 20th September.
To date we have received only four confirmations from members of Desert Springs willing to participate, which leaves the Club short of eight players required to form the full team of twelve.
In view of feedback received from the membership, it is clear that we will not manage to achieve a full team of players to represent Desert Springs for the Ryder Cup matches and as such, this decision has been taken so as to avoid any unnecessary costs that would be incurred to either the members of La Herrería for the event, or those members of Desert Springs already confirmed who would be required to book flights.
