Earlier this year, we announced that the European Tour had selected Desert Springs Resort & Golf Club to be host to the Second Stage of the European Tour Qualifying School from the 1st – 7th November 2017. The Second Stage is held at 4 venues in Spain simultaneously, and will dictate those players who will compete for a European Tour Card the following week in Lumine Golf, Tarragona.
The hosting of this event coincides with the 2017 President’s Cup, originally scheduled to take place on Saturday 4th November.
In the knowledge that our Members and Property Owners need as much notice as possible in advance to be able to book flights and plan their visits to Desert Springs, we would like to advise that further to consultation with the Competitions Committee, the 2017 Tournament Calendar has been amended to reflect the change of date for the 2017 President’s Cup, that will now take place on Wednesday 8th November 2017.
The President’s Cup is a Board Event, so the course will play at full length, as a par 72, playing the 17th hole as a par 4, in very similar conditions to those experienced by the Golf Professionals competing just a couple of days before.
