Annual Ryder Cup Match

The II Ryder Cup match held at Desert Springs in October 2007 between 12 members of both Redbourn Golf Club in Hertfordshire and Desert Springs, was resolved with a comfortable win for the local team of Desert Springs that ensured that the trophy stayed in Spain!

The return match is scheduled to be held over 2 days, Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th October 2008 with 12 players from each club competing in one fourball better-ball round and one singles round, with 1 point for a win, x point for a draw and zero for a loss. As in the official Ryder Cup Matches, the scores of each team will be combined to determine the winning team.
A total of 18 points will be available from the matches to be played and to retain the trophy the team of Desert Springs will need to secure 9 points.
