Dear Roxana,

We have been coming to Desert Springs at least once and sometimes twice a year since we first came in 2011.

It’s a lovely place in a beautiful location and we always have a wonderful relaxing time.

This June was no different, as usual the organisation was superb and the villa spotless. Not to forget the exceptional weather!

We arrived later than normal because of a flight change and were met at the gate by the Night Concierge who then did the meet and greet etc at the Club House.

Can we thank Delores for organising things and arranging the food pack in the Villa on arrival.

So can I thank the whole team at Desert Springs for a fabulous holiday once again.

The only saving grace when leaving was that we have already booked to return at the end of August, which we are very much looking forward to.

With best wishes,
Jim Stembridge

‘Desert Springs Golf Resort’

Visited Desert Springs for 10 days.

We played golf twice at DS and it is a great course with some challenging holes SO LONG as you keep on the green stuff. The waste areas are difficult and easily found if you hit too long or slightly off line. Do not back into a cactus !!!

We were lucky to arrive 2 weeks after rain so every one was in flower. There are thousands of plants of fantastic shapes and sizes and over 2,000 different varieties.

The apartment was fitted out with every amenity and was very clean and cool.

The sun shone from 7.00 in the morning until 8.00 at night. Our apartment was beside a pool which we used every day and never had more than a couple of other users.

We had breakfast on the veranda and lunch by the pool.

You can pre-order groceries to be in your property when you arrive.

On some evenings we dined at the club house restaurant which was first class food and surroundings.

Sunday night is music night with the Boogie man on his keyboard. Will play anything you ask him.

Our daughter lives and works in Vera so we had plenty of time to travel around on our own as well as visit with her friends.

It is like being in a Spaghetti Western as you drive around, but only 10 minutes away there are restaurants, La Dulce Casa in Palomares and Los Conteros just out side Villaricos, both are excellent, Travel a bit further and Mojacar offers all types of food.

Will definitely be back!

“Very special location, our favorite place in Spain”

This is our second visit to Desert Springs and again we loved everything about the resort.

We only visited for 3 days so being a bit isolated is not an issue but a positive as you really can get away from it all!

The apartment was well equipped and spotless.

The golf course is in excellent condition and once you know where the rocks are great fun to play. It was pretty quiet in the main restaurant. The staff in the restaurant are very friendly and efficient and the quality of the food excellent value for money at 18€ for 3 courses.

Can’t wait until we can return to this special location again!

My Wife, Son, Daughter in Law and the Grandchildren used the restaurant on arrival for lunch and we were pleasantly surprised so we booked for Sunday “Lunch” at 5.00 the next day – fortunately the waitress who took the reservation noted we wanted the roast meal as when we arrived it had sold out unless it had been reserved – a point worth noting if you are like my wife and love Sunday Roasts ( we had fortunately booked the following Sunday as the same situation arose) the beef and lamb roasts were thoroughly enjoyable.

We visited a number of times for our early evening dinner (an 11 month grandchild dictating our meal times). The Fillet Steaks, Lamb Chops, Duck etc. were really good value as were the basics of burgers and pastas etc.

The Este White House wine was good value for money. We never had breakfast so cannot comment on this.

The staff are really good cheerful people making the meals that little more enjoyable.

“Fantastic holiday, golf & lovely staff”

Me and my family have been coming back to Desert Springs for 4 years now and always have a fabulous relaxing time.

The staff are brilliant always welcoming and attentive and friendly especially the El Torrente restaurant manageress Ellie and her team and the golf reception guys.

The golf and accommodation were both fantastic, this time we stayed at 9 Powderhorn which is a lovely house well equip with everything you could possibly need, immaculately decorated and well furnished with a good sized pool, nice garden and fab views of the golf course.

Enjoyed the spa facilities and had a lovely couple of massage treatments.

Restaurant food was also great for breakfast and dinner and it was Great to see the crocodile club open at weekends during term time! Enjoyed cocktails at the pool bar, great service and a nice holiday atmosphere.

Have booked to return later this year can’t wait.

Absolutely lovely holiday; thank you very much.

Lovely food in the club house. Brilliant service too by Almeria airport assistance and the car guys in Alquile.

The region is a great place to explore. In future we should be able to stay for more than a week!

Sincerely,
John H.

“Relax and Chill”

We have been coming to Desert Springs for almost 10 years, and for us it’s one of those places you just must come back too, to relax and chill.
We are lucky that it is Sandy Lane Barbados for us in Sept / Oct and Desert Springs in May / June.

Just had 7 days at 24 Desert Drive, pool, 3 beds, en suite and family bathroom and it overlooks the 17th Tee Box.
Quiet, read a book, listen to some music and drank some wine. It is also a short walk to Clubhouse.

Well this year I have to admit the food in the Clubhouse was the best it has ever been.
Only intended to eat once or twice in the week and ended up eating every night. Chefs 3 course with coffee menu at 18 euro pp was superb and VFM.
The chefs menu is changed every couple of nights, but if you don’t fancy that, you can eat off the deck menu served all day.
Stuffed Aubergine with mushrooms and gratin cheese was a winner for Mrs H. The hot soups were excellent, broccoli and blue cheese one night and courgette and cheese the next night were as good as you would get in a top class restaurant .Swordfish, red fish, sea bass, Caesar salad along with cheese and biscuits, all were to our satisfaction.

Do a deal to include golf, buggies and breakfast. We did.
2 Fresh oranges, 2 coffees, 2 bacon banquettes every morning just what the doctor ordered!

We had 10 rounds of golf in our 7 day package only used 4, as we wanted to read a book, swim, drink and just RELAX.
Well done Desert Springs.
Just invest in what you have, make it better, it is really worth keeping in quality order.

Golf course was in very good condition, best in the area. Played the Marina in Mojacar, nice but not in the same league as Desert Springs.

The staff from Simon Coaker the Golf Director, to Ellie and her staff in the restaurant, all work hard to makes your stay pleasurable. Thanks.
Desert Springs is not the place to come if you want Bars, Nightlife, etc.
Desert Springs is the place to come if you want to Relax and Chill, play golf, sunbath, play tennis and just recharge.
We have been with our grandchildren and it does have children’s facilities at the croc club, but check when it is open.

The summer training camp to the England 2015 Ashes Cricket team, say no more.

Well done Desert Springs.
We shall return.
Top marks.

Feel terrible as fear that I have not thanked you & The Team for their kindness and generosity at Desert Springs!!

It was a super stay and though I could not consume quite as much wine as the gang I did think that I have not enjoyed so much sensational food for years!!

Great see you both and hope it’s not so long before we all meet up again at The Resort!!

Huge thank you.

Hi Team,

The rain showers in Spain did not bother us one bit.

We all had a lovely time, some great golf (not by me!).

The Villa was great and being close to the club house suited us fine.

Some lovely meals at El Torrente and the odd drink, a good time had by all.

On behalf of everyone thank you for your hospitality, everything was very much appreciated.

We had an easy trip back and arrived on time at Gatwick.

We look forward to our next Golfing Break at Desert Springs.

Henley Smith and friends.

Chris Marshall of England Cricket, first visited Desert Springs Resort as part of the staff that accompanied the England Cricket Squad for their successful 4-day pre-series bonding and training camp last June in the build up to the Ashes.

He enjoyed the resort so much that he returned recently with his wife to enjoy a 5-day break!

Chris commented;

‘From my perspective, whether it is a short break away with family or a warm weather training camp for your cricket team, Desert Springs has all bases covered.

The golf, food, spa, cricket, and meeting facilities, are all first class and the staff could not do more for you.

The short journey to Mojacar shouldn’t be missed if time permits… however I wouldn’t blame you if you stayed solely at the resort!

Many thanks for the hospitality, I am sure that you will be seeing us… and our new arrival… very soon !’

Thanks again,
Chris Marshall
