Captain’s Thank you

Dear Member, Owner

I would just like to thank everyone for making my Drive-In last week such a special day and evening. There are so many thankyou’s. To everyone who contributed food and drink for the Hacienda and who donated raffle prizes. To Karen, Hettie, Bonnie & Julie at the Hacienda, for keeping us fed and watered, to Jenny & Maria for the marshmallow challenge, which was great fun, to Gina, Deb, Linda, Julie, Helen & Nicky for selling flags, mulligans and raffle tickets. To Wikkie for donating 4 stunning Clarins baskets which were presented to the winning team. To Dave & Barry for doing the cards, to David, Oana, Rihanna and Alex for all of their help and organisation during the lead up to Drive In and to Colin for taking such excellent photos of the day and the evening. Thank you to everyone who played in the Drive-In and for dressing up in the “Law Enforcement” theme. To everyone who came to the evening function, what a great evening that was! To The Springers (Ashley, Jackie, Dave, Matt and Richard) for the most fantastic performance, for learning new songs for me and for making the evening so special. To Skyfall for playing. To Adrià, Sergio and the team for a wonderful meal and for serving 148 people, amazing. Thank you to Gail for all of her help and support and for always being there. Finally, to everyone for their generosity and for supporting Asprodalba.

I’d also like to thank everyone who entered a team in the Masters Fantasy team competition. 59 people entered a team, which meant €590 was collected. €295 was given out as cash prizes and €295 went to the Captain’s charity.

1^st prize of €100 went to Barry White, whose 6 players earned $5,281,380.

Joint 2^nd prize of €65 each went to Elizabeth Bielby and Simon Watson, whose teams earned $5,089,380.

4^th prize of €40 went to Gail McKemmie-Watson, whose team earned $4,911,000.

5^th prize of €25 went to Richard Dunphy, whose team earned $4,896,000.

Finally thank you to everyone who attended the make-up session at the Crocodile Club on Wednesday evening and the wine and tapas afterwards at El Torrente. Thank you to Denise Angus for giving up her time and for giving us a make-up Masterclass and for sharing so many tips and tricks. Thank you to Sue Garrod for organising the evening. This raised another €200 for charity.

Over these 3 events, we have raised the amazing amount of €5,338 for Asprodalba.

Thank you all so very much for your generosity. That is just incredible.
