Relaxing Spaces
The Clubhouse provides everything for the golfer and non-golfer. It has been designed to be magnificent, but extremely laid back and friendly, with lots of pleasant and intimate spaces in which to relax.
The Spanish colonial style building is surrounded by giant terracotta ‘tinajas’, traditional old olive oil jars. The entrance is a semi-enclosed traditional Patio Andaluz, set around a fountain of lilies and paved in old Macael marble tiles. Overlooking Santa Rosa Creek to the super-sized 18th green, it is a pleasant spot for a breakfast or a tapa.
The solid marble entrance portico and ancient carved walnut doors open into the high mirrored Golf Reception, with its experienced, friendly and helpful staff happy to look after all your enquiries. Off reception can be found the Polo Ralph Lauren Club House Boutique, the Club Meeting, TV and Reading Room and the very swish Men’s and Lady’s Locker Rooms.
On from reception, the Club has a sophisticated and very comfortable limed oak lounge and bar, which leads into a long shaded veranda and thence to a magnificent long wooden deck over Powder Creek Rapids and Mirror Pool. A Golfer’s Deck Menu is served here; open to the winter sun and shaded in the heat of summer, this has to be one of the most delightful sitting out spots in Spain.
Finally, there is the fine dining El Torrente Restaurant itself, with its lawn and roof terrace from which there are some excellent views across the complex to the countryside, sea and surrounding mountains.
