Dear Member, Owner

Charity Day

Charity Day is being held on Saturday 7th October 2023 and the day will start with a BBQ breakfast and drinks, followed by a Texas Scramble with refreshments out on the course. In the evening, we will be having a 3-course meal in El Torrente restaurant and I am really pleased to say that ‘The Springers’ have agreed to play for us again and are learning new songs, as we speak. Thank you Springers. Once The Springers have finished playing, Gail (DJ McWat) is going to keep us all up dancing, by playing music. We all had such a good day and evening at the Drive-in, in April and I am hoping we can do the same again in October.

After the meal and before the music starts, I’d like to hold an auction and so if anyone is able to secure any auction items for me, I would be extremely grateful. I would especially like to put together some golf outings, if I can, where people can bid on a couple of 4 ball vouchers in a package and then arrange their own accommodation and dates and have a nice golf trip away somewhere. Please could you let me know if you think you might be able to help with this or have any ideas. Thank you.

I’m trying to keep the theme for Charity Day simple, so the theme for the day and evening will be ‘colours of the rainbow’. Please don’t think you have to wear all seven colours of the rainbow, any will do.

I’ll send out more information nearer to the time, but please save the date – 7th October 2023.
