Cricket Scotland Women and Sunrisers Cricket will be holding a joint seven (7) day pre-season Training camp at Desert Springs Resort and ICC accredited Cricket Ground & Academy between Monday 26th February – Sunday 3rd March 2024.
Returning for the first time in 2024, having qualified from the ICC T20 World Cup Europe Qualifiers held at Desert Springs and played ODI and T20I fixtures against Cricket Ireland in 2023, Cricket Scotland are heading to Desert Springs Resort in preparation for the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup final qualifiers in Abu Dhabi. Scotland bring a squad of squad of sixteen (16) players and four (4) staff. Sunrisers Cricket also return having visited for a pre-season training camp in March 2023 and bring a squad of thirteen (13) players and seven (7) staff. Both Cricket Scotland and Sunrisers Cricket will be involved in a mixture of high performance training, spending their time completing a specific and carefully planned programme of numerous training sessions each day covering technical skills, bowling and batting, strength and conditioning and both individual and group activity. Alongside training at both the Cricket Academy Nets and on the Cricket Match Ground three T20 matches will be played between the sides, the schedule can be seen below.
The players and coaches will be accommodated in some of the privately-owned apartments at Desert Springs and the resort’s executive chef will be on hand to cater for the special dietary requirements of individual players dining at both El Torrente Restaurant and the Crocodile Club.

As always spectators are welcome to attend the fixtures and are encouraged to bring your parasols and deck chairs and enjoy the spectacle. We are looking forward to some intense battles between these teams and some great entertainment on our superb cricket ground.
