Double Olympic Champion, decathlete Daley Thompson, will be visiting the City Golf and Health Club at 40 Coleman Street, London EC25 5EH on Wednesday 15th February to talk about his career and his sporting life after Olympic glory.
The evening will be a question and answer session with Daley in which guests will be able to participate.
As part of the informal event, Daley will be reflecting on his illustrious athletics career, the Olympic Games and providing first hand tips on keeping fit for golf. He will also be discussing his ‘Daley Fitness’ warm weather fitness courses held regularly in the unique Desert Springs family and golf resort in Almanzora, South East Spain.
Desert Springs has been developed by The Almanzora Bay Group, the Spanish sister company of the Robert Hitchins Group of Cheltenham and is Europe’s first desert golf resort with a 72 par, international standard golf course and a golf academy run by PGA professionals.
Among its range of luxury facilities are a high specification gymnasium, two jogging and trim trails, swimming pools, tennis courts, a full size football pitch, a Spa, restaurants and much more.
Daley Thompson, who is a home owner at the resort, has worked closely with the Desert Springs management in developing many of the resorts sports and exercise facilities.
