ICC EUROPE SUB-REGIONAL T20 WORLD CUP QUALIFYING FINALS
GERMANY, DENMARK, ITALY AND JERSEY
MATCH SCHEDULE AT DESERT SPRINGS CRICKET GROUND
As previously announced, Desert Springs Resort, Europe’s only international award-winning luxury family resort with its very own ICC ODI accredited Cricket Ground, located in Almeria, Andalucía, south-east Spain has been selected to host the ICC Europe sub-regional T20 World Cup qualifying finals between Wednesday 13th – Friday 22nd October, 2021.
Over six (6) intense days, four top European nations; Germany, Denmark, Italy & Jersey will compete to see which two will qualify for the World Cup T20 qualifiers scheduled for early 2022. From that final round of qualifiers, the top four teams will compete in the ICC T20 World Cup finals in Australia in October 2022.
The teams will compete in a double round robin event on the superb Desert Springs Cricket Ground, comprising six 6 matches each.

Friday 15th Oct; Germany v’s Jersey First innings 10.15hrs. – 11.40hrs.

The Desert Springs Cricket Ground
Desert Springs Resort Sales & Marketing Manager, Simon Coaker remarked;
“The ICC have organised for Rapid Antigen Testing for all players, match officials and staff for each day of the event. Whilst a ‘Covid-19 Secure Event’ we are pleased to confirm that spectators are most welcome to attend all matches, however we must advise that this is strictly on the basis that all spectators follow the clearly defined signage identifying from where they may spectate.
Specifically, no spectators are permitted to enter the cricket ground or the cricket pavilion, nor pass by the ‘Accredited Personnel Only signage’.
The Crocodile Club restaurant has been designated as a ‘Covid-19 Secure Venue’ where all meals for participants and officials of the event shall be taken. Consequently, the Sierra Sports and Fitness Club shall be closed to the public from Wednesday 13th October and shall re-open at midday on Friday 22nd October. We apologies in advance for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you in advance for your support.
