Jim Gordon, our resident Sports Manager, will guide you in proper cardio, strength and toning techniques that you can use throughout the year. Jim says “If you work out too hard especially to begin with, then sooner or later you are going to get discouraged and that is the easiest way to break your resolution. The best way to ensure you don’t fall off the wagon is to start slow and gently work yourself into it”.

Besides the fully equipped gymnasium, spin classes are also available at the Sierra Sports and Fitness Club. Spinning is a fun, individual or group workout to great music, suitable for all levels and abilities. Jim will coach you for 45 minutes, helping you match the tempo of the music with the terrain, whether hill climbing, racing or simply pedalling. Spinning is a really great workout for improving aerobic and anaerobic strength, whilst burning up to 900 calories an hour. Workouts, performed indoors on stationery cycles, can be enjoyed
all year round whatever the weather!
