	Title:	Hampshire CCC complete pre-season training camp

Hampshire CCC are now back in the UK having completed an eight (8) day pre-season training camp at Desert Springs ICC accredited Cricket Ground & Academy between Thursday 10^th – Friday 18^th March.

A bowling group made up of nine players and three coaches arrived on Thursday 10^th March, before the remaining ten players and three coaches joined them on Sunday 13^th March.

As part of their preparation, the team spent their time completing a specific and carefully planned programme of numerous training sessions covering technical skills, bowling and batting, strength and conditioning and both individual and group activity.

Grass net practice, both bowling and batting took place at the Cricket Academy. Strength and conditioning work, running, speed and agility work was completed at the Cricket Ground and Gym at the Sierras Sports Club.

 

Graeme Welch, Hampshire CCC Bowling Lead Coach remarked;

“We had some good training. We’ve got a lot out of the trip, there’s a lot of new people in the group and the lads have spent a lot of time together and bonded together.

The season starts on April 7^th and it has been good preparation.

The surfaces were very good.”

The players and coaches were accommodated in some of the privately-owned Apartments and Townhouses at Desert Springs and the resort’s executive chef catered for the special dietary requirements of individual players dining in the Crocodile Club Restaurant.

	Title:	Hampshire CCC Select Desert Springs for Pre-Season Warm Weather Cricket Training Camp

Hampshire County Cricket Club will be stepping up their preparations for the 2022 campaign with an eight (8) day warm weather pre-season training camp at Desert Springs ICC accredited Cricket Ground & Academy between Thursday 10^th – Friday 18^th March.

The Hampshire CCC training camp will comprise nineteen (19) players and six (6) coaches, a bowling group made up of nine players and three coaches will arrive first, on Thursday 10^th March, before the remaining ten players and three coaches join them on Sunday 13^th March.

The team will be spending their time completing a specific and carefully planned programme of numerous training sessions each day covering technical skills, bowling and batting, strength and conditioning and both individual and group activity.

Alongside the training, the team will contest a two-day friendly match with Leicestershire CCC, starting on Wednesday 16^th March, ahead of their return to the UK on Friday 18^th March.
