TripAdvisor Award

The Desert Springs Resort, Europe’s only international award-winning luxury family resort and championship desert golf course in the Almeria region of Andalucía, south-east Spain, has received a prestigious award from the world’s largest travel website.

TripAdvisor has recognised the first-class accommodation, facilities and level of service provided at the Desert Springs Resort by awarding the luxury venue with a coveted 2013 Certificate of Excellence.

The accolade, which recognises hospitality excellence, places destinations in the top-performing ten per cent of all venues worldwide on the website, and is only awarded to businesses that consistently achieve outstanding reviews and ratings from TripAdvisor travellers. These trustworthy reviews then enable other travelers to plan their own trips in confidence.

To qualify for a Certificate of Excellence, venues must maintain an overall rating of at least four or higher, out of a possible five, as reviewed by travellers on TripAdvisor, and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months. Additional criteria include the volume of reviews received within the last 12 months.

Simon Coaker, Sales and Marketing Manager of The Almanzora Group, said:

“This award is especially gratifying for all at the resort as it directly represents the views posted from our guests which are completely unsolicited and reflect the opinions of real people describing their actual experiences whilst at Desert Springs Resort.

We believe that these result from a continual and consistent effort of staff at the resort to ensure customer satisfaction through quality of product and service on a daily basis; this is the corner stone of the Desert Springs Resort”.
