The Course

9/10. 
Condition-wise, the course is unbelievable. Even from someone who plays at the club, which Golf Monthly described as having some of the 'finest and fastest greens around', I was seriously impressed. There are a fantastic mixture of long hitting and short 'thinking' holes including #6 'The Gambler' a 295 yard par 4 surrounded by bunkers but almost always downwind – fantastic golf hole. The bunkers and greens are immaculate, literally not a single fault. 

Practice facilities

9/10. 
Every morning we had buckets of balls out on the (grass) range ready for us with a little sign indicating which were ours, a really nice touch. The practice green was tricky and fast and the chipping green the same. There were greenside and fairway bunkers to practice from and enough room to hit any club you like. 

Accommodation, resort and extras.

Villas were nice and spacious, with cooking facilities if you needed them and freeview on the telebox. Swimming pools, spa's etc … However, the best thing about the resort is the staff who are AMAZING. Simply could not do enough for you and never without a smile. Each morning your clubs were cleaned and put on buggys ready for you to go. They were super flexible with moving tee-times and met every request our group had. The food was incredible and the staff in the restaurant and bar put every club I've played in the UK to shame.

All the staff were so friendly and welcoming and the resort facilities were excellent.   

29 Desert Drive was also a fantastic villa and both our children said it was the best holiday they have ever had!

We had another amazing holiday at Desert Springs this year.

This was our third year returning and as always we were not disappointed. The resort is absolutely beautiful, incredibly well maintained, the staff are so friendly and helpful; nothing was too much trouble.

Our villa (La Rosa 11) was beautiful, and the pools fabulous.

We had a few meals at the clubhouse restaurant and each meal was excellent and great value for money.

Each year our holiday experience at Desert Springs gets better and we are already looking forward to our fourth holiday there next year.

Hi Daniel,

I went to both of Daley's workout and really enjoyed them. 

As you know I run a lot and also spin but I never really do much body strengthening, so Daley really shook up my routine.

The first day was circuit training using all of the equipment in the gym pushing our heart rates up to the max in quick sharp shots to get the full benefits of a workout. It was hard work but a great workout. 

He concentrated on legs and arms the next day with lunges, squats and bench presses. He made the workouts very challenging but fun and effective. 

Daley was really friendly too and joined in and got everyone involved by adapting each activity to the children and to the adults. 

I really enjoyed the workouts and would love to do them again particularly in such a stunning setting overlooking the sea.

We had a fabulous weekend of golf and fun at Desert Springs Golf Club.

The course was immaculate and although tight, if you keep it straight off the tee you can score well.

The greens are quick but held the ball well if you managed to land on them!

The staff throughout the resort were fantastic, it really was 5* service throughout.

I would highly recommend a visit and my friends and I will absolutely be doing so again in the near future.

“Holiday at Desert Springs Spain”

Have just returned from a weeks holiday at Desert Springs Golf Resort in Almeria Spain.

Even as a non golfer this is a lovely place to spend a sunny break in this little bit of Arizona in Spain. 

Beautiful pool areas if you take an apartment or private pool in some of the villas. 

The clubhouse offers excellent dining in supreme comfort with the option of the deck with a stream passing close by. 

Alternatively there is the Crocodile Club which boasts a beautiful pool area and excellent restaraunt and bar area, easy to spend a whole day here enjoying the pool side service.

All this for very favourable rates, definitely a high 4 star if not 5 and it won't break the bank.

Just returned from a brilliant family holiday at Desert Springs.

We stayed in a town house in the Las Sierras part of the resort.

The accommodation was comfortable, spacious and thankfully air conditioned!

The town house was just a few minutes from the Crocodile Club. We ate out at the Crocodile Club a few times and found the food to be delicious, child friendly and reasonably priced. 

Great service from everyone at Desert Springs, especially the staff at the Croc Club restaurant and the pool bar. 

Desert Springs is in a quiet part of Spain and is perfect for people who want a relaxing holiday in the sun away from the crowds. 

Lovely beaches nearby and we especially enjoyed Mini Hollywood and the local water park.

I recently went for a 3 day golf break to Desert Springs with 8 of my friends and cannot speak more highly about our trip. 

From start to finish, we were treated to fine service, surroundings and golf. 

I am lucky enough that my job allows me to travel the world, so when I can I always find a spare half a day to fit in a round of golf. I have played many courses all over the world and would rank the Desert Springs course up there with the best of them. The fairways and greens where immaculate and it is easy to see that they really put alot of time and effort into the upkeep of the course and its surroundings. The cousre is fairly tight so remember to bring your A game, but if you like a challenge, I recommend anyone to play here. 

There were 8 of us in the Villa and we all found it to be extremely spacious, comfortable and well equipped. We also ate at the on site resturaunt where the food was excellent as was the service.

Overall it's a big thumbs up and I look forward to hopefully returning to Desert Springs someday for more.

A group of friends went over from the UK for a long weekend of golf.

We had a fantastic time, we were well looked after and everything was very easy.

The transfers frm the airport worked very smoothly and we were warmly received upon arrival.

The accommodation was superb and clean and we overlooked one of the greens, being able to swim in the pool with great views.

We ate several meals in the restaurant, all of which were delicious and reasonable – and breakfast every morning was lovely.

All in all a great resort and a fantastic weekend…

We celebrated a friends birthday enjoying the golf at Desert Springs and had a fabulous time.

The transfer from the airport was smooth and well organised. A comfortable mini bus drove us to the resort.

Once there, check in was simple and we were quickly enjoying our villa, with pool and views of the par 3 second hole. 

We ate breakfast and dinner at the restaurant every day and the food was first class. We usually grabbed something on the course – usually a baguette on the 9th hole which was brought to us by the course staff. In fact, you could organise anything to be brought to you at any part of the course. All aspects of the course management were second to none. The course itself was immaculately presented and the buggies, driving range and putting green all superb. 

The staff really made this trip so enjoyable, cheerful and helpful in every capacity.

I genuinely can't find any fault with this resort.

I have played numerous courses and enjoyed many luxurious holidays but this has been the best by far. I will be returning next year without a doubt.

Room Tip: We chose a villa with golf course views and a pool. You really cannot go wrong wherever you stay.

An excellent weekend and experience from start to finish. 

We never had to left a finger after arriving at the airport until the end of our trip.

Everything was taken care of, all our needs met and nothing was to difficult. 

The transfer from the airport was smooth and comfortable and nice to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city to a beautiful spot at Desert Springs. 

The Golf course was immaculate the greens extremely well kept and the course interesting and testing. 

The accommodation was first class, the service throughout superb, with extremely kind and helpful staff in all areas. We were extremely well looked after. 

The food was brilliant, a great varied menu and a good filling breakfast to start the day with. 

The most amazingly well kept football pitch (five a side and full sized) for those that like a bit of a run about in the evening.

A great weekend from start to finish, we will definitely be going again!!!

It had a much more personal feel to it than my stay at Celtic Manor you didn't just feel like another customer. Fantastic.

We stayed at Desert Springs for a week in June 2013 and ate at the golf club restaurant on 3 occasions.

The three best things about this restaurant are the quality of the food, the friendly staff and the ability to sit outside by the water (with the birds and the frogs!).

Our favourite dishes were the risotto starters (wish prompted our purchase of some risotto rice to try and recreate similar dishes on our return!) and the Iberian pork dishes (with sauces to die for).

The deserts were good but not as amazing as the starters/mains…apart from our final night where they adapted the cava sorbet to include some raspberry coulis especially for us – which was amazing.
